2022.03.28 cordless razor:


I periodically have to swap batteries in my Braun 5409 cordless razor. During a recent swap, I touched the
battery across a contact I shouldn't have, and smoked the "on-off switch" of the battery, a power mosfet.
So I had to replace it. Didn't have the part on-hand, so after getting a strip of ten AO3400 (marked "G31")
SOT-23 n-channel mosfets, I swapped it and the razor is working fine again.

100 of these mosfets cost me $9 (shipped). So instead of throwing away a $60 razor, I replaced a 9 cent part.

Also, I replace the batteries about every 3 years, costing me around $15 each time. Too bad most people just
throw stuff away when all it needs is a little inexpensive maintenance.
