Juentai JT-6188 Mini Juentai JT-6188 Mini:

I was looking for a cheap and small dual band mobile for a go-box, and this looked like it would work nicely.
It's small enough to install into the lid of a marine battery box. 25 watts VHF, 20 watts UHF. SO239. It has
a pretty rugged build and a mic that looks like it belongs on a Motorola, you could use it for self-defense.
The mic also has a keypad which does help with programming, but it's just about as painful as most other small
dual band radios to program without software.

I've since reassigned it to be used as a talk-in radio for Field Day and other amateur radio events.

This is a generic design that's sold under numerous other brand names. They're identical from what I can tell.
I also picked up a spare at a hamfest recently. (QYT variety)
