back to CW practice kit

assembly problems assembly problems:

It didn't go completely smooth, there were a few hitches:

- When peeling the protective paper off the plastic slabs, I cracked a very thin section of one of the inner
slabs. Be careful when preparing that one. I ended up using a piece of scotch tape to hold that together,
but it turned out to be unnecessary since the slabs are stacked and support each other.

- I had to trim a little of the excess wire/solder and bend back one pin on the CW key's 3.5mm jack so it would
fit in the above plastic slab

- The included directions are a little hard to follow on resistor placement. All values are marked on the board
with white silk screen, use those instead of the photos to place the resistors.

- I also found the directions a little difficult to follow when assembling the plastic slabs. Just take your
  time and read carefully.

- After testing and storing, I decided to pull it back out and get some pictures, but the decoder box stopped
working properly. It acted like the chip had taken ESD damage, but it turns out I had plugged the key into
the radio audio input jack by mistake. The three 3.5mm jacks are marked in silk screen on the board, but you
might want to mark those on the case too.
