SMA whips:




The little "spring" antennas that come with a lot of the cheaper radios do work, but have pretty terrible range.
Any of the 5-inch or better "whip" antennas will do much better. They're usually SMA Male, so you'll need an
SMA-Female to UFL pigtail adapter. They're cheap, get a 5-pack even if you don't need five, just in case one
gets damaged.

Whips are pretty cheap and are good for use with 3D-printed node boxes. Pigtails come with nut and washer,
and can be mounted in a hole in the box.
