2025.12.07 Duracell C leak in Duracell flashlight:
Not two hours after I found the leaky thermometer, I ran into another leak, this time in a Duracell brand
flashlight! Oh, the irony.
I grabbed the light to use and it was dim. Cracked it open to find three C, with a very new leak in the middle
of the pack. So no stuck batteries, and no contacts to clean. I've seen much worse with a leaky D cell stuck
deep inside a flashlight. I wasn't able to remove that one, and it ruined the flashlight. But this Duracell
flashlight will have a bright future, with some fresh Amazon Basics C's.
This is quite possibly the first time I've seen Duracells last longer than the year on the cells. These are
rated "2024", a year past their "good date".
