I've had a casual utilitarian interest in photography for a very long time. I got a digital camera when they
were first getting popular, and have been steadily upgrading ever since. Sure, the cameras in the new phones
are handy and pretty good, but it's hard to beat a big telephoto lens on a dedicated camera.
