I picked this up a few years ago on a bit of a whim. It runs on four AA batteries, has a large screen for both
eyes (doesn't have stereo vision though), a built-in IR illuminator, and can record to micro-SD card.
It's got several buttons on the top for control, and a discrete covered hatch on the back for a micr-SD card
and USB connection.
The light and sensor are covered with IR-transparent removable caps that can be left on most of the time, or
removed for slightly improved night-time performance.
I also has a tripod mount on the top and bottom, as well as a dovetail on the top, for mounting accessories
to it, attaching to a tripod for stability, or for use with a head-mounted bracket for hands-free operation.
It appears to be designed to be used by airsoft players during night games. The front optical window and the
IR light lens both come with protective caps that are IR-transparent, and it clearly states this is to protect
them from airsoft impacts. But you can use it for anything. Despite covering both eyes with the face light
shield, there's just one screen in there and it only has one IR lens, so it's not stereo-vision. I'm
pretty sure you'd have to go with military gear for that.
It's got buttons on top to do things like turn the IR light on and off, control recording/playback, adjust
display backlight intensity, etc.
