3 IR iPhone case:




I bought my first FLIR shortly after getting an iPhone 5s for my new job, it was on closeout as it was a "back"
for the model 5s which was being replaced with the iPhone 6, so they needed to unload the ones that fit the 5
before they stopped being sold.

I quickly got used to having a FLIR on-hand, and it literally paid for itself a few months later, diagnosing
a defective new brake caliper two weeks before it went out of warranty.

But since it was a "back" for my phone, it didn't take long to get outpaced by technology. After running an
iOS update on my phone, I was forced to download a newer version of the FLIR software. It turned out to not
be compatible with my old back, and I had no way to install the old version back onto it. I eventually managed
to get it sort of working a few months after I upgraded my phone, so I gave away the phone to be used as an
IR-only tool.
