pulley carabiner pulley carabiner:

This was a bit expensive for what I use it for, but has proven to be very handy up on the tower. This carabiner
has a fairly wide mouth, and includes an integrated pulley. I use it exclusively for controlling pull lines
while ground crew are lifting or lowering heavy loads. I can quickly snatch the lift rope, and then hold the
carabiner out as needed to position the load. (usually to keep it away from the tower, or maneuver clear of guy
wires or other gear like dishes and small beam lower on the tower) The pulley allows me to provide strong
positioning force without sanding my gloves on the rope as the load is raised or lowered. And I can leave it
clipped on my harness for fast response if I happen to notice too late that the ground crew is having problems
tagging the load from below.

Although I use it exclusively as a load pulley, it's designed for climbing and is rated 4KN. There are other
more secure (auto-locking etc) pulley carabiners on the market, but what I need here is speed and convenience.
Occasionally I wish it included a swivel, but I guess you can't have everything.
