Petzl I'D S descender:




I thought I would get more use out of this, but it's complicated to operate and more useful if you're alone.
It looks like it'll be useful to train with if I go for my SPRAT rope-work certs.

It's a multi-purpose tool tool that can be used to smoothly descend down a rope (10mm or bigger) or gently
lower a heavy load. It also works well as a positioning device, allowing easy movement (vertically or
horizontally) and quickly locking onto the rope to work in-place. It's designed to be attached to either a
harness or anchor.
