back to carabiners

I've got quite a few non-locking quick-draws in my bags and pouches. They're perfect for rigging - they're strong,
fast/easy to operate, and very strong. In addition to quick-draws, I keep a large number of non-locking carabiners
in my bags for use on the tower, and the cheapest way to get them is buying quick-draws and removing the biners
from them. A 5-pack of quick-draws might cost $60, and that'll get you ten good biners for $6 each. I'm not trying
to cheap-out, this is about having a large supply of quality gear on-hand that wasn't restricted by cost.

I prefer the Djinn quickd-raws and biners. There's just something about the wire-gate models that bothers me.
Prices are pretty volatile on quick-draws right now. I've seen the same new set of 6 list for $66 and $250.
They're also available in different colors, and I use those to color-code my gear.
