back to USB power banks

basic single 18650 basic single 18650:

I got one of these from my workplace. It's just a single 18650 in an aluminum tube with a USB-A and USB-micro
port on the end. Very basic, but it does work. Not a lot of power, but should get a cell phone back up with
enough juice to make a few calls in an emergency. These are very cheap and often given away at vendor events.

Honestly, the biggest down-side to these is keeping them properly maintained. If you just charge it up, throw
it in your glovebox and forget about it, it'll probably be dead when you need it. And if you leave it on charge,
you'll probably cook off the battery and its capacity will be permanently stuck at like 10% of new. These need
to be stored at ~70% of charge when not in use, but they lack even a basic capacity meter, so good luck with that.
