2 arrival and setup:




Mark (N8TWO) camped at Antique Acres overnight to tend to the smoker, and was just about to start setup when
I arrived around 10am. The tables were arranged a bit differently than they had been last year, and it took
us awhile to settle on where the radios, power, and other stations were going to be placed. Quite a few people
showed up early for setup, so things went fast and smooth. Batteries, radios, and logging laptops sprung up as
solar panels were assembled and set up. We were mostly finished by noon, where we took a bit of a break and
waited for the starting bell to ring.

Although the talk-in radio was one of the first things to be set up, there wasn't much traffic heard on the 94
repeater. Most operators have gotten used to this location and have no trouble finding it. I think I heard a
distant repeater identify a few times on the frequency, probably the one in Cedar Rapids. Pretty good for not
having the antenna extended very high up.
