finding the sun in fully overcast sky:


This Field Day event presented so many new challenges for solar. One unexpected problem was not knowing which
way to orient the solar panels since I had NO idea where the sun was. I thought I remembered where North was
so I had a ballpark of where the sun should be, but others were even disagreeing as to which direction was
North. (which I found amusing, being at a boy scout camp)

Then I thought "well a compass will sort this"", and got out my phone. While searching for a compass app, I
remembered I had Stellarium installed, which should give me North. But wait, it shows STARS and there's one
star I'm interested in right now. I had to turn on the motion sense in the app but then there it was, the Sun,
and I could see right where it was. Good nuff!
