Northeast Iowa Radio Amateur Association (NIRAA/W0MG) Meeting Minutes, November 2017

The November gathering of the Northeast Iowa Radio Amateur's Association (NIRAA) was called to order at 6:01 PM November 11, 2017 at TJs in Reinbeck by Mark Colby (N8TWO).  There were 23 members (20 ARRL) and 2 guests in attendance this evening, listed below.

ELECTIONS
---------

Nominations were accepted prior to voting for 2018's officers.  Harold Lucas (N4HRL) was nominated for President (N0TKC/K0CQH)

Prior to voting by ballot, Mark offered the single runners for each office up for unanimous verbal vote, which was obtained and accepted (AE0TB/N0TKC)

Officers for 2018:
	President: N4HRL Harold Lucas (formerly Director 2017)
	Vice President: NK0T Curt Wilson (re-elected)
	Treasurer: K0CQH Dave Knittel (re-elected)
	Secretary: N0ZYC Nathan Fisher (re-elected)
	Director 2016: W0SJ Stan Johnson (continuing at year 3 of 3)
	Director 2017: N0TKC Taryn Colby (replacing N4HRL at year 2 of 3)
	Director 2018: KD0DK David Kelly (replacing AE0TB, starting year 1 of 3)



Dick Nelson (W0HHF) brought in a few new DMR sweatshirts, for sale, $30 ea

Reminder, we will be doing bell ringing on Dec 2, and Harold has obtained enough volunteers to fill the schedule, thank you for your assistance!

There was no November presentation in leu of the christmas dinner and elections

The NIRAA club meets on the 2nd Saturday of most months at 7pm in the basement of the Red Cross building (2530 University Ave) in Waterloo, anyone interested in ham radio is welcome to attend.  Our primary club repeater is on 146.94 mhz, negative offset, PL tone of 136.5 hz, with coverage centered in Black Hawk County.  Many members are also monitoring channel 3119 on DMR.
