W0MG Board Meeting Minutes, September 2023

The NIRAA board met at 2 PM on Saturday September 9 at Jan/Jim Fitkin's house.

Bill and Tom are working together to get the club web page transitioned.
GoDaddy has our domain name currently, everything will be getting moved to GoPappa
Bill is helping with the migration AND will be maintaining the web site.  It's going to cost about $200 to
move the data over, plus there will be some monthly or yearly charge for the cloud hosting.
The domain name has to be controlled by an individual, Bill is the best choice for that. (maybe with Nathan
as the backup)

Donations exceeded Tom's pledged matching limit, the total is about $1,245 so far.
Dave will be forwarding the list of donations to Tom.
The recent donations will also help cover costs for the new DMR repeater.

We still need to find somewhere to move the club's remote station, which is still at Bill's old house.  CFU is
one possible location, or maybe CFU's manager's home property.

Al will be proceeding with Elk's Club reservation for the Christmas dinner.  We will probably need to meet on
a Friday.  November 10 is the obvious choice but it's also the day Veteran's Day is observed, so that may be
a problem.
Brief discussion of other restaurant options.  Brown Bottle is one of the few other good choices in the area,
but the menu is relatively limited.

Al needs to get back to work on the final revisions to the bylaws.

We still need to work out who will be handling local treasurer duties while Dave is in Florida.

Mark is a bit overloaded with club responsibilities, should look around to see who can share the load.

Do we want to activate a park sometime in November?  Maybe do a little test-run fox-hunt then too?  invite
scouts?  or even other church youth groups?  George wyth park?

Jan is working on a New Hams Kit / Packet

Al will do a "radio basics" presentation in October. (Jan is presenting on her kit this month)

Did we ever get our Summer Field Day deposit back? (they owe us $75)   Will look into it.
