extendable pole latch broke:


I have no idea why it broke, but I was trying to lift it to release the bottom section so it could be extended,
and the latch just folded off in my hand like it was meant to break off. The latch is held in place with a pin
driven through it to work like a hinge, so the latch probably can be replaced, but I suspect parts aren't
available. Will have to call around and see.

There are there latches, and if one is going to be broken I'd rather it be the top one with the weakest section
of pole, so if I can't fix it I may just move the latch from the top to the bottom.

Looking at the pictures I look, I'm pretty sure I secured the vertical antenna to the pole using velcro at that
same place previously. I wonder if the constant stress of the velcro is what weakened the latch?
