2025.09.20 ARC antenna and tower removal 2025.09.20 ARC antenna and tower removal:

With the impending demolition of the American Red Cross (ARC) building, the club needed to get the antenna,
rotor, and possibly tower down before they demo'd the building and hauled our gear away for scrap.

Finally a date was set, and a small crew assembled to get things down. A bucket truck was brought which turned
out to be very helpful. It didn't have a hook to attach to in order to lift the beam or sections up, but allowed
someone to lift and rock the sections from above as they were jacked apart from below. This saved a lot of time
in the take-down.

At first we weren't sure if the tower sections would be in good enough condition to bother with, but they were
all in good shape and no rust, so we packed them up as well, along with the building bracket.

We collected:
- 3 element HF beam (20+40m?)
- CDW (HAM-III or IV?) rotor (no control box)
- mobile whip antenna (2m+440?)
- Rohn-25 top section
- 2x Rohn-25 mid section
- Rohn-25 wall bracket
- HF longwire balun/un-un
